This article gives a brief overview of how to change how your tills, printers and Online Ordering settings work.

This article is written for our Food Hall style venues, who operate on a central server set up. If you are unsure if this applies to you, check with your Kobas champion.
Otherwise, speak with the Support Help Desk, Account Manager or Implementation Co-ordinator if you are unsure.

Online Order Settings
You need to set your Opening Times and whether you accept Eat In, Takeaway or Delivery, as well as Tips settings in Administration > Venue Settings > Settings > Online Ordering.
Settings that can be changed here include:
- Venue Logo
- Tipping
- Auto accept / time out length
- Order Ahead and intervals
- Venue opening times
If you don't have access to this page, speak to management at the Food Hall who will be able to make changes on your behalf.
Managing/Accepting Online Orders
This short video shows how a customer can order items, and how we can view and accept them. Online Orders should be set up to print checks/dockets when they are accepted.
Help! "We're too busy" and "We don't have that"!
To temporarily slow down or stop orders:
- Reject the order stating you are too busy (see video above)
- Accept the order advising there will be a long wait (see video above)
- Temporarily close the venue for orders in Administration > Venue Settings > Settings > Online Ordering (remember to turn it back on!).
- It may be quicker to set everything to Sold Out if you only have a few items (see video below).
To change what is available online:
Till Settings
You can configure how each of your hardware tills, iPad tills or Virtual tills work. If you have permission, you can go to Administration > Venue Settings > Settings > Tills > Edit and make changes to:
Printer Suppression: | You may not want certain tills to print at certain printers. It may be that you only want Online Orders to print out. |
Basic details: | Does the till accept cash, what is the float, what are the default settings, the default log out time and service charge. |
Printer details: | Primary printer, automatic receipt printing. |
Printer Settings
You can configure how each of your hardware tills, iPad tills or Virtual tills work. If you have permission, you can go to Administration > Venue Settings > Settings > Preparation > Edit and make changes to:
What prints (Assign) | Choose items or whole categories that print checks/dockets to certain printers. |
Settings | Does this printer accept kitchen instructions (such as Mains Away), print receipts, print duplicate dockets, print order summaries (useful for delivery hand-off points). |
Note: Each Kobas client administers their account differently. Therefore, you may find that you do not have the permissions to complete some of these actions. In those instances, please speak with the Food Hall management.
