[Troubleshooting](https://help.kobas.co.uk/updates-and-help?hsLang=en#troubleshooting) January 24, 2026 # Printer troubleshooting ## Find the right help for the issue that you are experiencing with your printers. **Who can use this feature:** 🥇Accounts on the **Starters**, **Mains** or **All You Can Eat** plan. 🔐Users with access to **Venues** permission.   ### Introduction We use two types of printers with the Kobas system: - **Thermal:** These are the majority of printers we need. These use heat to print the receipt and don't require ink to be replaced. These cannot be used near heat sources, so we don't recommend these are used in Kitchens. We used to supply Aures ODP333 units, and currently, we supply Oxhoo TP85s. - **Impact:** These printers do use ink and make contact to print on the paper. They can be used near heat sources, so we recommend their use for kitchens. They are reliable. We supply Star SP747 printers. **Note:** We do re-use your existing equipment where this is compatible and we can do this.
